This is what the shop looks like from the house wall side.
It took these guys about a day and a half to lay the maple floor. We had it finished with oil rather than varathane so it wouldn't crack when we roll heavy machinery over it, and, when we drop tools we can sand and re-oil. It's not that we go about trying to drop tools, it just happens.
Here it is with the hardwood floor finished and the morning sun coming in through the window and door.
This gives a better sense of the baltic birch on the walls.
