New tools and landscaping
We bought ourselves a bandsaw, very necessary in order to turn the wood pile into turnable wood for Richard. The two of us managed to get it in the door and set up. We bought an extension block for it so that we can cut taller pieces of wood (or logs.) This is before we put on the extension block. We had to buy two big honkin' wrenches to do the job.
Since the inside of the shop is so nice, we decided to bite the bullet and have some landscaping done in the backyard. This is the beginning of a dry stream bed which will actually have water running in it when it rains. The yard will have a place for the BBQ and the small fire bowl. We're going to need that. Between us we create a lot of stuff to burn.
This is the view from the back lane. One of my jobs tomorrow is to call some fencing companies and get quotes on a chain link fence for the back and up to the side of the garage. Chain link may not be the most beautiful fence but it is what the police recommend for safety and it doesn't require maintenance which is a bit plus for us. So that's what's new with us. I guess as a blogger I pretty much suck. I've been having way way too much fun playing in the shop.
